About me April B.
Hi there! I'm April, freshly turned 25 years young, and ready to spoil your pets! I currently work in the architecture industry and question every day whether I should have persued my childhood dream of being a vet or a zookeeper. I generally spend 9 - 5 on weekdays designing houses and putting together drawings for building consent. Occasionally I do interior fit-outs. I wish I could say I save animals after accidents, or feed lemurs. Unfortuately that is not to be, so mini April will have to settle for the next best thing... I have decided to live out my passion for animals through pet sitting, vicariously spoiling your pets for my own deep seated validation and enjoyment (of course, only with your permission). As a result, they will get the best in care and about as much attention as is humanely possible. Pet sitting isn't new to me, and nor is inhabiting the walls of someone else's abode. I pet-sat frequently during my high school years, caring for the local kindy's pets where my mum taught. Budgie's, rabbits and fish where the main clients. However, more recently I've had the privledge of looking after my friend's wonderful Stella - a huntaway cross who forgets her size. Growing up, my parents allowed me to make a zoo out of the family home; I've had cats since age 0, rabbits since age 4, fish since age 5 and frogs since age 10. Unfortunately as a grown up, I haven't been allowed to have any animals because I rent too close to the inner-city and don't have enough time to be giving to them what I deserve. I do, however, still have a lone fish called Darcy, and pop in to see my beloved scottish fold who still lives with my parents on the weekly. My services include all animals - lizards and frogs included - but this is based in your home. I cannot offer boarding services at the present time. Dog walking is a real passion and I'm always happy to take on last minute clients. I'll discount for return clients past a certain point! There is no big or small limit - all welcome - I love a challenge. I'm happy to take dogs fro drives to good locations and give them a real adventure and run around. Sometimes, a flat mate might accompany me! I prefer live-in/overnight sessions at a flat rate, and also offer house sitting services for no additional cost - and can do this for extended periods of time. When this is an option, I will give a flat rate for a night or several nights that will be well below the $100 mark.
